Issue Grouping
How SnagRelay links a new report to past ones that hit the same element, error, or endpoint.
When a report arrives, SnagRelay checks whether it matches earlier reports that point at the same thing. It happens inline for every report and gives your agent a view of what's been tried before.
What counts as "the same"
A report is grouped with earlier ones when they share any of these, checked in this order:
- The same element: the same CSS selector on the same route
- The same error: the same error fingerprint
- The same failing API call: the same failing endpoint
Where it shows up
The get_related_history tool in MCP returns past
resolved reports that match, including the PR that fixed each one. An agent that reads
this before fixing can tell "this regressed" from "this is new", and see what the last fix
changed.
