Your Access
How invited people connect Chrome or unlock the web widget after a Team invite.
Invited people land on You’re in (/users/access) after opening the magic link from
their invite email. There is no dashboard password and no API token to copy.
Authenticate Chrome
Preferred: install the extension, open the popup, click Authenticate, enter the email they were invited with, then the 6-digit code we send. That works on another computer too — they do not need the magic-link hub again.
The hub button is the same grant, for this browser, if they already opened the access email:
- Install SnagRelay - Intelligent Bug Capture.
- Open the magic link so the hub shows Authenticate Chrome. Stay on that tab.
- Click Authenticate Chrome. The tab signs the extension in and should close on its own.
- Reopen the extension popup — it should show their email and projects.
Do not use Sign in as owner in the popup (that’s for the project owner).

Unlock a web session
This block only appears when a Project has Invited reporters only enabled on the Script install channel.
- On Your access, find the Project and click Unlock.
- They’re sent to the site’s origin with a short-lived handoff code; the widget exchanges it and unlocks in that browser.
This does not change Chrome sign-in.
Section is hidden when unused
If none of the person’s projects require invited-reporters-only, Unlock is not shown. Chrome is offered for invited people.
Request a new link
If the browser session expires, they can open /users/access, enter the email they
were invited with, and click Send link. Requesting a new link does not sign
them out of an already-connected Chrome extension.
If they lost the invite email, ask the owner to send the invite again. Chrome Authenticate (email + 6-digit code) still works as long as they stay invited.
