Agent Not Connecting

Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex can't sign in to SnagRelay or can't read your reports.

Check the Status panel on the project's Agent tab. It reads Waiting for your agent… until the agent makes its first call, then Connected · read 2m ago. If it stays on waiting:

Use the project's URL

Copy the URL from the Agent tab. It looks like https://mcp.snagrelay.com/v1/YOUR_PROJECT_ID. Make sure it has your project id and no stray characters or trailing path.

Adding the server isn't enough. The agent opens a SnagRelay page and you have to click Allow.

Claude Code: run /mcp, pick snagrelay → Authenticate, then click Allow.
Codex: run codex mcp login snagrelay.
Cursor: make sure the SnagRelay plugin is installed and enabled (Customize → Marketplace), then approve when Cursor opens the browser.

Make sure you're signed in to the SnagRelay account that owns the project.

Check the connection hasn't expired

Sign-in lasts 90 days. The Agent tab lists each connection with its expiry. If it has lapsed, or you disconnected it, sign in again.

Writes are failing

If the agent can read reports but can't mark one resolved, you may be on the /readonly URL, or using a token without write scope. Reconnect on the standard project URL.

Ask the agent who it is

Have it call whoami. It returns the signed-in identity, the projects it can reach, your plan, and the token scope, which usually shows the problem straight away.

The agent never loads my report

The agent only calls SnagRelay when you give it a key, a report link, or ask it to list reports. Try:

fix SHOP-12

Reports older than your plan's history window (7 days on Free) aren't visible to the agent.
