Common questions about SnagRelay.
What is SnagRelay for?
Turning "something is broken" into a report your coding agent can fix. Reporters click a button and point at the problem. SnagRelay attaches the element, console errors, failed requests, and a replay, and your agent reads it over MCP.
Do people who report bugs need technical knowledge?
No. They click the report button, point at what's wrong, describe it, and send.
Do I need an issue tracker?
No. Every report lands in your SnagRelay inbox, and your agent reads it from there. If your team plans work in Jira, Linear, Trello, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps, connect one on the Delivery tab and each report also opens a ticket.
Which coding agents work?
Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex, plus any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP with OAuth. See Connect your agent.
Do reporters hear back?
Yes. After sending, they get a key like SHOP-12 and a status page. If they leave an email,
they get an "It's fixed" email when the report is resolved. See

Can I run separate staging and production setups?
Yes. Create a separate project for each. Each gets its own API key and inbox, so a bug filed on staging doesn't land in production. There's no environment switch inside a single project.
Will the widget slow down my site?
No. It loads asynchronously and only becomes active when a visitor opens it.
Can I remove the SnagRelay badge?
The badge is removed automatically on Agency. See Plans & Limits.
What's the difference between the widget and the Chrome extension?
The script tag puts an embed on your site with the project API key. The Chrome extension (SnagRelay - Intelligent Bug Capture) injects the widget on the sites you list, after each person signs in, with no script on the site. Owners click Sign in as owner; invited people click Authenticate.
Do I pay per teammate or per reporter?
No. There are no seats and no per-reporter pricing. Plans are priced by projects and reports. See Plans & Limits.
What happens when my trial ends?
You drop to the Free plan, not a lock-out. Your setup keeps working within Free's limits.
How do I invite people to report bugs?
See Team. They get a one-time link, then Authenticate in Chrome, or Unlock the widget on your site. They never get a dashboard account.
